We reported to you yesterday on Sony Computer Entertainment Europes President, Jim Ryan’s, somewhat  worrying comments on the PlayStation Plus build of the PlayStation 4 exclusive racer Driveclub. Since then Sony Computer Entertainment have given their official statement on the matter by way of a spokesperson PlayStation Plus build that will eventually be available to paying subscribers is still very much a work in progress.

The statement reads, “Although currently we do not have an update regarding the timing for the launch of the PS Plus Edition, we are continually working on improving the server capacity to enable us to launch the PS Plus Edition as quickly as possible.”

The Driveclub “free” version, which requires a paid subscription to the PlayStation Plus service has been an unfulfilled promise for quite some time now and following the horrible launch of Driveclub that left PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara saying “It’s a disappointment,” it’s not very surprising that this PS Plus Edition is having problems of its own.
