Stupid controversies, whether self-created or otherwise, are the name of the game that is Grand Theft Auto. Perhaps one of the odder cases of this was Grand Theft Auto 5’s removal from Target shelves in Australia due to depictions of violence against women. This was in fact spurred by a Change.org petition. Anyone who’s played GTA 5 will know that it’s an equal opportunity offender but IGN pointed out that such violence would have seenit refused classification in the first place.
