Join the fight for dominance on PS3.

CCP Games has announced that their long awaited massively multiplayer first person shooter will be releasing on May 14th for PlayStation 3. The free to play game will be fully integrated with the New Eden universe of EVE Online (which allows players to work with starships from players in that game), but will feature its own interstellar conflicts. It’s also free to play. So there’s that.

CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson stated that, “Reaching this point has required many years, hundreds of CCP employees, and the engagement of millions of players who contributed fantastic feedback during the beta process. Now we start the real journey, which, decades from now, we will look back on with astonishment at all we accomplished. The EVE Universe will outlive us all.”

Using a variety of weapons, vehicles and other futuristic equipment, players will take on the role of mercenaries fighting for dominance in New Eden. It boasts endless customization and up to 32 players in simultaneous combat.
