It’s been a little more than a week since Dying Light released worldwide digitally (with retail copies outside of North America being delayed to late February) but Techland’s open world zombie survival horror has already racked up some impressive numbers.

According to the game’s official Twitter account, “From the moment Dying Light got released right-up until yesterday we had over 1,200,000 unique players.” With the physical retail copies to release later this month, that number could go up even further by March.

Dying Light has garnered some praise for its visuals and mechanics, though the overall reception appears to range from mixed to good. That’s not counting the issues some players have reported including bugs that delete one’s save game progress.

What are your thoughts on the game so far? Has it been worth your time? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on Dying Light in the coming weeks.
