Dying Light PS4 Demo Trailer Goes Parkour, Features Ultraviolence

We learn a bit more about Techland's upcoming free running survival horror.

The Spike VGX Awards featured a ton of reveals and gameplay trailers, along with tech showcases. Techland’s Dying Light was another such gameplay trailer, and we got a look at a PS4 demo in the game. To put simply, you’ll find out how to traverse the daytime settings and even how to use zombies to generate momentum for some sweet parkour maneuvers. Check it out above.

We also get a look at some of the weapons, including a bludgeoning sledgehammer and twin-sided axe. It was also revealed that levels in Dying Light would have more than one specific route to traverse – which is a blessing, since the zombies will be frenetically after you, only growing more powerful as daylight dies (hence “Dying Light”. Get it?).

Developed on Techland’s Chrome Engine 6, Dying Light is slated to release in 2014 for PS3, PC, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay reveals at the Spike VGX Awards.
