Dying Light Sells Over 5 Million Units Worldwide

Another milestone for one of the year's most successful new IP.

Dying Light The Following

Techland’s Dying Light has sold more than 5 million units worldwide since its launch earlier this year. In a recent interview with Videogamer, producer Tymon Smektala said this makes it one of the ten best selling titles in the United States for the first half of 2015.

Despite Smektala calling it a “tremendous success”, he says the development team is still a bit surprised by Dying Light’s sales numbers. The last sales milestone was revealed in June when the game notched up 4.5 million units sold worldwide.

The momentum behind Dying Light continues with the announcement of The Following, an expansion which introduces a large new location, new story missions taking place outside of Harran, dirt buggies with their own upgrades and skill trees and much more. It will retail for $14.99 when it releases but season pass owners will receive it for free.
