Techland continues to support Dying Light with free content several months after its release. It recently released patch 1.06 which adds Parkour Fever, ten new parkour challenges with leaderboards, to the game.

The patch also serves to revamp Quarantine Zones, adds three new Trophies and new Gold tier fantasy weapons. There’s the usual list of balance changes including an increase in the drop rate of Gold tier weapons, adjustments to crafting, weapons and loot chests. Support was also added for the Bozak Horde DLC and if you’re the kind who likes listening to his own music while playing, then you’ll be able to use your Spotify playlists for background music.

For “Be the Zombie” players, there’s a new progression system which seems to add an Evolve-like mutation system, complete with three different evolutionary stages. Various other abilities have been fixed including a bug with the Ground Pound and Spit not properly sticking on to enemies.

There’s much more to look forward to download the update today (it’s 2.85 GB in size) and give Dying Light another go.
