Techland has released a new trailer for their upcoming free roam-based survival horror Dying Light, in which you scour the world around you for supplies with dangerous, agile zombies out to get you. This time around, the developer is showing off its physically-based lightning system, a result of propriety Chrome Engine 6, and how it will deliver realistic lightning and shadows throughout the experience. Check it out above.

This new system was developed in accordance to next-generation consoles on which Dying Light will also be appearing on. Though it will also be on Xbox 360 and PS3, it’s safe to say that we’ll see the full potential that this new system holds on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Will it make the experience of running on rooftops to escape the undead that much more harrowing? We certainly hope so.

Published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Dying Light will release in 2014.
