Just in time, David Jaffe came along and rescued the Sony E3 conference from utter failure by announcing the PS3 instalment in his car combat Twisted Metal series.
Featuring the same gritty setting the series is known for, but with a lot more detail and graphics, the game showed cars and choppers duking it out, while Jaffe proceeded to demonstrate the online death match mode which on a word looked totally sweet. Relentless and fast paced action, and some sweet handling of the cars, ensures some good automobile action on the PS3 later this year.
Twisted Metal will launch exclusively on the PS3. No other details were revealed.
