EA already working on new Need for Speed title

Well, can't say I'm surprised...

So, Most Wanted releases in a few days, and EA’s gone ahead and started developing a new Need for Speed title already. Considering that it’s an annual franchise, this really isn’t much of a surprise, but still…

Looks like it will be EA Gothernburg who will be handling the development for the next NFS title, and it will apparently be built on the Frostbite 2 engine, same as last year’s Need for Speed: The Run.

The studio said in a job ad: “Would you like to work on a game in the Need for Speed franchise? We are hiring, and we are hiring a lot.”

The job ad also says: “The Studio will focus on developing a new generation of games, and the engine of choice is Frostbite 2.”

So either the next NFS will be released on next gen systems, or maybe they’re just working on a title that releases two or three years down the line. Or maybe by next gen systems, they mean they will be porting the game over to the Wii U, or maybe the Vita.
