Titanfall

An unnamed source has claimed to GameSpot that Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2 will be published by EA. This was apparently dependent on the first game’s performance and given the positive reception thus far, with some estimates claiming 900,000 copies sold worldwide in the first weekend, EA can call this mission accomplished.

It also means that Titanfall 2 won’t be exclusive to Xbox platforms, and will head to the PlayStation 4 (and maybe even the PS3) in the near future.

However, an EA representative responded and stated that, “We do not comment on rumor or speculation. Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall.”

Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella has stated in the past that the studio will bring future games to other platforms – but not the first game, which will forever remain exclusive to Xbox. What are your thoughts on Titanfall 2 heading to PlayStation platforms? Let us know in the comments.
