The coming year is going to be a busy one for EA. During its most recent quarterly fiscal briefing, the publisher talked its plans for the financial year of 2020-21, which will run from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and revealed that it has a breadth of games scheduled to launch in that twelve month period.

In total, EA has got fourteen games on the docket for the upcoming fiscal year. Four of these, as you would expect, are going to be sports titles, with EA specifically mentioning both Madden and FIFA, though it’s worth noting that they did not mention what they plan to do with NBA Live following their recent decision to completely rework the series.

Beyond sports games, EA’s got plenty of other stuff planned as well. Four of their games will be other major releases that they will “draw from the breadth of our IP.” It’s hard to predict what these might be referring to, especially with both Battlefield 6 and Dragon Age 4 unlikely to come out within that given window. EA previously confirmed they’d releasing “fan-favourite” remasters in FY 2021, so it’s possible that we get to see something along the lines of the Dead Space or Mass Effect trilogies making a return.

Four more of the fourteen games EA’s got planned for the fiscal year are going to be indie-developed titles that they will be publishing through their EA Originals initiative. One of these could probably be the next game from A Way Out studio Hazelight, though that is not, of course, something EA have announced yet. Finally, they’re also looking to kick off soft launches for two new mobile games.

During their financial call, EA also spoke about their plans for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X, and whether they are considering improving their output on the Switch– check out both stories through the links.
