EA Sports College Football 25—the first game in the series since 2013—has turned out to be an incredibly successful launch for EA. According to industry analyst Mat Piscatella of Circana, EA Sports College Football 25 was the bestselling game in the United States for the month of July, while also become the bestselling game in the US for all of 2024.
For context, this means that EA Sports College Football 25 has sold more copies than Helldivers 2 did, which was previously the best selling game in the US. Helldivers 2 has now fallen to second place, with the third place being taken by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and fourth place going to Dragon’s Dogma 2.
The rest of the list of the best selling games of 2024 in the US include the EA Sports MVP Bundle (which includes EA Sports College Football 25 and EA Sports Madden 25), Elden Ring, MLB: The Show, WWE 2K24, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Tekken 8, rounding up the top 10.
Released back in July, EA Sports College Football 25 was almost instantly a great hit, boasting of more than 5 million players in its first week alone.
