EA Play Live, Electronic Arts’ dedicated event for announcements and updates, is currently scheduled for July 22, a little over a month from now, but currently, not a lot of details are officially known about what to expect from it. It’s been confirmed that DICE will be talking about Battlefield 2042’s mysterious undisclosed mode that’s being developed by DICE LA, and we can assume that we’ll be hearing more about this year’s instalments in the various EA Sports franchises- but what else?

Well, apparently the publishing has something potentially exciting in store for fans. During a recent stream (spotted by VGC), GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb said that EA is probably going to announce the revival of an established IP at its EA Play Live event next month. Grubb didn’t divulge many details, but he says he has previously discussed the game.

An EA game that he has previously discussed is, of course, the next game being made by Star Wars: Squadrons studio EA Motive. According to Grubb, they’re working on an established IP that’s going to make fans happy, and that IP apparently is not Mirror’s Edge. To many, that sounds like Dead Space, which I sure hope it is.

Either way, we’ll probably know soon enough, at least if EA does indeed plan on sharing details soon. We’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned.
