Electronic Arts has announced the creation of EA Worldwide Studios. According to chief executive Andrew Wilson on the company’s website, this will bring together studios like Bioware, Maxis and EA Mobile under one banner.

What’s interesting to note are who’s leading what – senior VP of Maxis and EA Mobile Samantha Ryan will now also be leading Bioware. The Frostbite Engine team will be integrated into the technology organization under CTO Ken Moss while Patrick Soderlund will ultimately be in charge of EA Worldwide Studios.

None of this is expected to change the fact Aaryn Flynn is in charge of Mass Effect: Andromeda though so don’t worry. Though how Ryan’s experience could influence future Bioware projects remains to be seen.

What are your thoughts on EA’s restructuring of sorts and how will it benefit the company in the coming months? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more updates.
