Elden Ring Nightreign - Deep of Night

After references discovered in-game for the same, FromSoftware has officially announced a new mode coming to Elden Ring Nightreign. Launching for free on September 11th, Deep of Night sees players tackling progressively tougher Depths.

Stronger enemies will appear alongside exclusive Depths Relics and weapons with multiple benefits (which can also roll with debuffs). Players can’t target a specific Nightlord in this mode, and the terrain won’t change, so Shifting Earth is seemingly out of the question. After passing Depth 3, an “endless battle” awaits in Depths 4 to 5. There are even ratings that “fluctuate based on wins and losses, affecting the ‘Depth.’”

There’s still a lot to figure out, but Deep of Night is for experienced players. Suffice it to say that if you’re tired of farming the Everdark Sovereigns, this should offer a worthy pastime.

Elden Ring Nightreign is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. It passed five million shipments in less than two months and helped drive revenue for publisher Bandai Namco in the quarter ending June 30th. Additional paid DLC is due to launch in Q4 2025, so stay tuned for more updates.
