Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

The wait for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has perhaps felt longer than it has been, but either way, that wait looks like it’s about to come to an end. FromSoftware has confirmed that it will be premiering the highly anticipated expansion’s first gameplay trailer in a few hours’ time, and expectations are that a release date will be announced as well. But what exactly is that release date going to be?

Past leaks have suggested that Shadow of the Erdtree could launch sometime in February, but a new report on Dealabs by credible leaker billbil-kun suggests that it’ll arrive a few months later than that. As per the report, the DLC is likely due out on June 21.

While the leaker isn’t a hundred percent confident that that’s the release date, they say they are basing that on the fact that, as per their information, publisher Bandai Namco will be revealing physical editions of the DLC that will also include the base game on that date.

As per the report, two editions will be available- a Game of the Year Edition, which will be priced at €79.99, and a Collector’s Edition, which will be priced at €259.99. The former will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, while the latter will also be available on PC.

Is there a chance that the expansion releases sometime before June, with its physical release coming sometime after its launch? We’ll find out soon enough. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s first gameplay trailer premiers on February 21 at 7 AM PST.
