It’s hard to believe it’s nearly been a year since we began with that humble city in Endless Legend 2 . We found it to be a very impressive start for the title back then in our review, and we’re now on the cusp of a new chapter as its 1.0 release is now scheduled for September 17th while also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PS5 is also getting physical editions to pre-order from select retailers.
There’s a lot to look forward to, with a new major faction being the obvious highlight. The Sandshapers are a remnant of an age long past, but that doesn’t stop them from wanting to restore the world to their version of its former glory. That’s going to be a tad inconvenient for the rest of its factions, given that their vision involves a desert wasteland where survival isn’t as easy as it is for non-Sandshapers.
Of course, they bring the necessary units, structures, heroes, and the like to make that vision a distinct possibility unless they’re stopped. Other additions include a new Necrophage variant and a new minor faction that looks quite interesting. With new faction quests, heroes, units, and a whole lot of battles waiting for you, this one’s easy to recommend.
