Epic Games “Committed To Do Whatever It Takes” To Make Crossplay Happen For Fortnite

After accidentally enabling crossplay last time, the company will be trying consciously now to make crossplay possible.

Fortnite Battle Royale

At The Game Awards ceremony, Epic games was asked whether they would enable crossplay for Fortnite. This follows the incident when crossplay was accidentally turned on for the game allowing Xbox One and PS4 players to play together. This was promptly shut down however.

The game’s Creative Director Donald Mustard stated that the company is committed to “do whatever it takes” to allow for crossplay in their game. Of course, it won’t be an easy task but going forward, it does make sense for Xbox and PlayStation to work together to make possible a better experience for the gaming community.

Last time around, crossplay was shut down because Sony seemed to be against allowing for crossplay. We do know that Xbox is open to the possibility of working with other companies to make way for crossplay. We’ll just have to wait and see if Epic Games gets their way and is able to make this happen.
