En route to its launch on Steam Early Access, Rockfish Games showcased some new gameplay for space shooter Everspace 2. The first video is short and highlights the game’s gorgeous visuals and action. The second is more extensive and talks about features like free-looking, cockpit customization and an “inertial dampener toggle” for more realistic space flight. Check it out below.

The developer also confirmed that Union, a space trading hub, would be available with the early access launch. Along with hand-crafted locations, there are also some procedurally generated environments to explore. If that weren’t enough, the Okkar from the first game will also be coming back.

Closed alpha players should also take note – there will be two new classes of ships, additional gameplay content, quality of life improvements and a higher level cap to grind towards. Everspace 2 is slated to release in Steam Early Access for PC in December (after initially being planned for September). It’s also coming to Xbox One and PS4 afterwards so stay tuned for more details.
