Evil West

Flying Wild Hog has been busy with new releases over the last couple of years, but it’s fair to say that out of the studio’s recent output, Evil West is the game that has resonated with people the most. The third person title received plenty of praise from critics and players alike on the back of its old-school action gameplay, and interestingly enough, it seems like the developer might now be gearing up to work on a sequel.

As spotted by Tech4gamers, Flying Wild Hog recently published a job listing that reveals that the studio is working on “a brand new and ambitious project for next-gen consoles and PC” that’s being built on Unreal Engine 5. The ad describes the project as a ” fast-paced third person action title”. While concrete details are obviously scant in the listing, the description does sound like Evil West’s gameplay quite a bit.

In our review of Evil West upon its launch, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, “I wish it did a bit more with its characters and surprised me a little more with its plot and level design, but there’s no denying the uncanny ability of Flying Wild Hog to capitalize on and squeeze every last bit of possible fun out of just a few cool ideas, and that ability is certainly on display here.” Read the full review through here.
