Evolution Studios’ Paul Rustchynsky, who is also working as the game director of DriveClub, recently responded to a fan question over at the EU PlayStation blog, detailing the PS Plus edition of the upcoming racer.

DriveClub’s PS Plus Edition, which is free of cost, allows PS Plus subscribers to download part of the game- you can play using 10 cars and you can race in all the tracks of a single country- so that’s five tracks. And you get to do it all for free. Plus, you also get access to all online and offline features of the game.

However, a fan recently said on the PS Blog in his comments that the PS Plus version of the game seems more like a demo. Rustchynsky was quick to dismiss that notion. “The PlayStation Plus Edition hasn’t changed,” he said. “It’s hardly a demo because you get access to all of the game’s features online and offline.

“The difference is that you only have 10 cars and you can only race in one country (which gives you access to five tracks with 11 distinct variants).”

DriveClub’s been delayed several times now, but it’s finally coming out for the PS4 on October 7. Stay tuned for more updates.
