Evolution Studios assured us yesterday that online play would soon be stabilizing, and we would get to play their largely social and online interaction based arcade sim racing game, DriveClub, as it was meant to be played, soon enough. Today, they confirm that server issues have gotten better, but that they will continue to run diagnostics, which will cause some interruptions in online play.

“Over the next 24 hours we are rolling out a new game update alongside server upgrades that will help to improve server performance, clubs and multiplayer functionality,” they said on their Facebook page (Facebook account may be needed to view content).

“We are also running essential diagnostics periodically to help us continue to improve server performance, which may disrupt online play for you when you get connected. This will be kept to a minimum.”

So, apart from the maddening news that server issues for the game would still continue so long after its launch, they also refused to clarify when the free PS+ edition of DriveClub will finally be coming. Or if it will be coming.
