F1 2019

Codemasters is bringing back its long dormant racing series GRID later this year, but it’s not the only racing series the company is working on, as they also recently detailed some more about their latest in the more steady, annual F1 series, F1 2019. You can check out the latest trailer for that game here. Codemasters say they want the game to be their most ambitious iteration of the franchise so far, but one thing expected in most new entries of a series, yearly or not, is a bit of a graphics bump. Looks like F1 2019 will deliver on that front, based on some new screenshots.

You can take a look at the screenshots below to see some direct comparisons between this game and last year’s F1 2018. Screenshots for both take place in Monaco with similar angles to give you the maximum effect of what the visual upgrade will be. Even at a glance, you can see the better colors and shadows in this year’s release. Looking a little closer, you can see a lot more details in the environments. Considering it’s an annual series, it seems to be a pretty decent step up, even if it’s pretty familiar for fans.

F1 2019 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC June 28th.
