Fallout 4

Bethesda has shed some light on how the company is going to be handling DLC and other new content once Fallout 4 is officially launched this November. What’s most interesting is that the company claims it doesn’t really have any idea on just what the DLC might be, because it’s been working so hard on getting the actual game released.

The company posted on its official website that it expects to charge people $30 for the season pass. Bethesda claims this is actually quite the deal because they “know it will be worth at least $40” but you’ll get be able to get it for that smaller price tag as long as you buy the season pass. The company also said it will start releasing that DLC early next year. Bethesda also said that they will be bringing free updates after the game has released and they will be modeling their approach to this content in much the same way they handled Skyrim.

That means patches and fixes will be included in the free updates but there will also be new features included as well. Bethesda pointed out that with Skyrim there were, “mounted combat, legendary mode, kill cams, visual enhancements and more.” Considering the game is already supposed to be massive both in size and scope the extra content and features will likely challenge Witcher 3 for the title of biggest and most immersive open world adventure game in 2015. Fallout 4 launches for the Xbox One, the PS4 and the PC on November 10, 2015.
