Fallout 4 Expands To Northern Frontiers With Huge Fan-Made DLC Mod

The fans continue to build on Fallout 4 ahead of the next entry's release

Never underestimate the lengths that fans will go to with their favourite games. It’s a lesson that Bethesda understands very well, and so is very receptive to the fans taking what they built and running with it. Now available on Nexus Mods, players have crafted a DLC sized expansion to Fallout 4 called Northern Springs, which adds entirely new areas to the game.

Supposedly larger than the official expansion areas included with the Nuka World and Far Harbor DLC, the mod adds new maps, complete with new quests, armour pieces, weapons, jobs, companions, and far more. You can even get the Vault-Tech rep as a companion, if you ever wanted to.

The team behind the mod says that they’ve spent the past two years working on it, and will continue to update it as they go, adding features such as voicing the protagonist. If you’re hoping for something completely new, then it’s only a short while until Fallout 76 – which was blown out at E3 2018 – releases in November.
