A new listing on SteamDB indicates that Fantasian—an RPG developed by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi for Apple Arcade—might finally be making its way to PC. As caught by Eurogamer, the SteamDB listing doesn’t really have much in the way of details aside from an image with the game’s title, and “FANTASIAN Playtest” being its last known name.
Sakaguchi has previously spoken about bringing the Apple Arcade-exclusive RPG Fantasian to more platforms. Back in February, the Final Fantasy creator spoke about getting many requests from players to bring the game to PC, and how the team was working as hard as possible to meet these expectations.
Originally released in 2021 on Apple Arcade, Fantasian is an attempt to return to the traditional turn-based battles and general tone of the early Final Fantasy games. The title also features music by renown Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu. Leading up to Fantasian‘s release, Sakaguchi had hinted that the game might be one of his final projects.
