The Scarecrow sequence was initially going to have Eternal Darkness-like sanity effect
There are many ideas that get thrown across the boardroom in Rocksteady, but only some get approved by the games supervising director. When you first encounter Scarecrow, no one could have predicted that the level we were about to encounter would be mind numbingly awesome and yet dizzy. Originally the game was going to have an Eternal Darkness effect; however the developer opted out of that, because they did not want any potential lawsuits.
