EMERGENT GAMEPLAY
As you may have put together from what we’ve talked about in this feature so far, Far Cry 5 is attempting to double down on the idea of player made moments rather than scripted ones. Emergent gameplay in an open world sandbox has become increasingly popular over the last few years, even more so after the recent successes of titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and even Ubisoft’s very own Assassin’s Creed Origins so we’re quite excited to see Far Cry taking a stab at it as well.
