Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water Supports Free Xbox Series X/S and PS5 Upgrades

Xbox One and PS4 players can upgrade to their current-gen versions at no additional cost. Koei Tecmo will provide more details "soon."

Fatal Frame - Maiden of Black Water_Photo Mode

Koei Tecmo will be revisiting its famed horror franchise when Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water arrives for current and previous gen platforms. Those who decide to purchase on Xbox One or PS4 can take note – Koei Tecmo has confirmed that they can upgrade to the Xbox Series X/S (via Smart Delivery) or PS5 versions respectively at no extra cost. More details on this will be provided “soon.”

Along with improved visuals, the re-release sports some new features like Photo Mode. This lets players customize their own photographs using any characters or ghosts with different backgrounds, lens types and much more. New outfits and accessories are also being added for its three protagonists, Yuri, Miu and Ren.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water releases on October 28th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. The story sees the aforementioned protagonists becoming involved with Ose Kurasawa and the Black Water, fighting off malicious ghosts with the Camera Obscura.
