Ever since the criticism of Phil Fish who spoke negative in regards to Microsoft’s policy on updating games. Microsoft decided to change the policy and let indie developers patch their games for free, as opposed to having to pay a fee every-time a game needed to pass certification/update on the platform.

With the policy finally changed by Microsoft, Phil Fish has confirmed via twitter that the game will be receiving a patch in a couple of months.

Here is the statement from Phil Fish on twitter – “GOOD NEWS EVERYONE: we’re going to patch FEZ on XBLA!”

It will be interesting to see if the policy changes will have significant effects on indie developers in the future for Xbox One.
