Though Cristiano Ronaldo has been the cover star of FIFA for the past couple of years, that won’t be happening again with FIFA 20– which makes sense, since his team, Juventus, recently signed an exclusivity deal with Konami’s eFootball PES 2020, and won’t be appearing in FIFA 20 in an official capacity.
So who will be the cover stars? They have been announced by EA Sports via their official Twitter account. The game’s standard edition will see Eden Hazard – who recently moved from Chelsea F.C. to Real Madrid – featured as the cover star. Meanwhile, the Champions Edition’s cover will feature Virgil van Dijk, defender of current European champions Liverpool F.C.
There will also be a third cover star for the game’s Ultimate Edition, and the tweet mentions that that will be announced soon as well.
FIFA 20 is due out September 27 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Take a look at some of its new gameplay features through here, and also read about improvements being made to Pro Clubs.
