FIFA 20 Volta

The next installment in the football series, FIFA 20, is slated to come this September. We now know the cover athletes for all versions of the game. While the core experience won’t be too different (as is the case with many annual sports games), it does seem like 20 is changing up some things. Today, we got a look at the changes to the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) play.

As released via press release, EA detailed the many changes to FUT. There will be a new hub to play friends locally or online, as well as head-to-head online in traditional 11v11 gameplay with four new modes of play: Mystery Ball, King of the Hill, Max Chemistry, and Swaps. It will also see alterations to the objectives system, a lot more customization options, as well as refinements to the Squad Management options that allow you easier access on the go. You can see the full list and details below.

FIFA 20 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on September 27th.

  • FUT Friendlies: a new hub to play FUT with friends locally or online, as well as head-to-head online in traditional 11v11 gameplay, with or without House Rules. There are also four new brand ways to play: Mystery Ball, King of the Hill, Max Chemistry, and Swaps.
  • Refined Objectives System: players can transform the way they play FUT, with new ways to progress and to personalise their FUT Club, along with a range of time-limited and grouped tasks that allows for more complex and rewarding objectives.
  • New Customization Options: create a truly unique FUT Club with new Club Customisation that provides new custom kits, club crests, stadium dressings and banners, celebrations, and more.
  • Squad Management: a redesigned Squad Screen enables players to access their Active Squad, Transfer Market, and Club Content quickly from one location for the first time.
