The conclusion to the world’s story arrives with patch 2.55.
Square Enix is gearing up for Heavensward, the first major expansion for Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn. To do this, it will be concluding the current world’s story with “Before the Fall”. The first part released several months ago, adding new mini-games and missions to the base game, and now Before the Fall: Part 2 is available along with patch 2.55.
It’s worth noting that players will have to play the main quest “Before the Dawn” if they want to play Heavensward, considering that the expansion introduces a brand new over-arching storyline.
Various other main scenario and side quests have been added along with adjustments to Triple Triad and Chocobo Racing. There’s also a new trial for the Steps of Faith which requires eight players to defend various constructs on the bridge to Ishgard. Check out the full patch notes here.
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn’s Heavensward expansion is out on June 23rd so stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
