We were happy to announce that Final Fantasy 14: Evercold would be available in January 2027. However, plans have changed, and the highly anticipated expansion is now launching on February 23, 2027, with early access opening on February 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Preorders go live on November 4th and you could consider the Collector’s Edition, which includes a Reaper figurine, a tapestry, a keychain, a plush toy, and a box of special art with the expansion. That’s quite a package, but the Standard Edition’s preorder bonuses will be fine if you don’t want to fork out the extra cash.
In case you haven’t been following this one, it brings a new warrior of Light to the table, and a story that’s already quite intriguing based on what we’ve seen in its trailers. There’s also the newly revealed Zephyr job to look forward to, alongside changes to customization and the narrative structure that we expect are going to make this one feel quite fresh and engaging.
We don’t have to wait long to find out, though, and we’re hoping the delay helps push out a more polished experience in the end, especially with how crowded next February is.
