The expansion will be free to pick up until May 8, and is available on PC, PS4, and PS5. Those who pick up the expansion will not lose it one the promotion ends.

It is worth noting that the offer isn’t available to those playing on a Final Fantasy 14 trial account. Players hoping to grab the expansion for free will have to purchase the Final Fantasy 14 Starter Edition, which includes the base game, and the Heavensward expansion.

With the story focusing primarily on freedom fighters, Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood introduces a host of new characters and plot thread that would go on to be followed up on in the most recent Final Fantasy 14 expansion Endwalker.
