Final Fantasy 15 Comrades

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 15 broke new ground when the developer’s next DLC Comrades went into closed beta. The DLC is a co-op experience that allows players to customize their own avatars and play alongside three other players.

Unfortunately, server issues have prevented many players from having an ideal experience. Square Enix has thus announced another “closed online test” for the DLC on August 11th and 13th and this will coincide with an update that will “improve matchmaking.

The Comrades DLC is compelling because players will be exploring the world in the single-player campaign. Along with extensive character customization, there are quests to play together, new weapons, gear, attack styles and so on. While only a slice of this is available in the beta, Square Enix is promising a health amount of content at released. Furthermore, future updates will allow Noctis and his comrades to be playable.

There’s no release date for Comrades but you can partake of the closed beta if you have the $25 Season Pass or PlayStation Plus/Xbox Live Gold for your respective platform.
