Due to a Game Informer story that was subsequently pulled (which can be viewed here), it seems that Square Enix has a demo planned for Final Fantasy 15 in 2015 on the Xbox One and PS4. It’s the best news in a while concerning the game’s upcoming release, especially since it’s been in development for several years. The demo will allow you to play the opening sections of the game apparently.

Until then, Final Fantasy Type-0 fans will be busy playing the HD remaster on Xbox One and PS4. It will launch on March 17th 2015 in North America and contains a voucher for downloading the Final Fantasy 15 demo.

Of course, just because a demo for Final Fantasy 15 is due soon doesn’t mean the game itself will be out next year. Given the number of high profile delays, we wouldn’t put it past Square Enix to delay the game in the lead-up to its release. What are your thoughts on this news? Let us know below.
