Final Fantasy 15

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 15: Episode Duscae, a demo which was bundled with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and provided our very first look at the gameplay for the action RPG, will be returning in May. Director Hajime Tabata revealed during the recent Active Time Report that the team will be re-releasing the demo and improving several aspects of the gameplay.

Dubbed Episode Duscae 2.0, the demo will have better camera control, a new form of dodging and a new targeting system. The frame rate will also be optimized to prevent drops but it’s possible that this doesn’t make it into next month’s demo.

This could pretty much explain why Final Fantasy 15 will be skipping E3 2015 since it will be putting most of its effort towards polishing the original demo. Now that Final Fantasy 15 will be seeing its next phase of marketing at Gamescom, it’s more possible than ever that newer aspects of gameplay are revealed in August.
