Final Fantasy 15_E3 (6)

It feels unreal, but Final Fantasy 15 is almost here- we’re just two days away from its release day after tomorrow. And to ensure that you can join in on the fun without delay Square Enix have put up the pre-load of the game, which is now live. Go download it, everyone!

The download size for the game appears to be 50.7 GB, and 6.6GB are needed to launch the game- it is currently unclear if this includes the day one update that will add a whole host of optimizations to the game. That said, the size of the pre-load appears to be identical to the file sizes in Japan, so that’s something, I guess.

It also looks like Final Fantasy 15 may end up being worth the wait- depending on your definition of the term. The very first review of the game, based on an early copy of the game being sold pre-release, is now out on Gadgets 360, and they have gone ahead and scored the game an 8/10, praising the characters and the flexible progression through the story, but criticizing the poor music (which honestly surprises me) and the vague story (which I expected).

Does this reflect reviews and scores for the game at large? Can we expect similar reception to the game from everywhere else? And if so, will the wait have been worth it? I guess we will find out when Final Fantasy 15 releases on Xbox One and PS4 worldwide on November 29.
