Final Fantasy 15

Square Enix released new footage of Final Fantasy 15 during its most recent Active Time Report and it gives a good look at some of the cooler battle mechanics in the game. Magic has been reworked and the combat as a whole seems much faster. Check it out below.

The footage also debuts a new character in the form of Aranea Highwind, commander of Niflheim’s Third Army Corps 87th Airborne Division. She’s has the title of “Dragoon” in the Imperial army and is a “skilled aerial combatant”. At this point, she’s making a better impression than Lunafreya to be honest.

Final Fantasy 15 is scheduled to release this year and Square Enix has promised release date information on March 30th at a major event. There could be a new demo on the way as well but more information will be revealed in the coming weeks. What are your thoughts on the new footage? Let us know in the comments.
