New ranking feature also coming.

Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy 15 will receive a new update on April 27th. The announcement comes from Square-Enix Japan so we’ll have to wait for a Western release date.

The update is free and comes with some interesting new features. As per Gematsu’s translation of the press release, it will include a new “Stable Mode” for PS4 Pro users. This resolution option will provide a stable frame rate for the game. New songs are being added to the music player and Timed Quests will begin again.

There will also be a new ranking feature which grants a “wonderful weapon” as a reward. You can also customize the Regalia with new car stickers. Finally, subtitles and menu screen text sizes have been enlarged to make for easier reading.

What are your thoughts on the update? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on a release date for North America and Europe.
