It’s a week of shocking reveals for fighting games but Bandai Namco isn’t looking to be upstaged by NetherRealm Studios’ Injustice 2. The company has announced that Noctis Lucis Caelum, the protagonist of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 15, will be a playable character in Tekken 7. You’ll have to wait till Spring 2018 though. Check out Noctis’s announcement video below.

Along with Noctis and his intriguing move set (which includes his Engine Blade and magic), it seems that Hammerhead, the gas station and car repair shop owned by Cid and Cindy, will also be a new stage. Seeing Noctis match up against the best that Tekken 7 has to offer is intriguing. The addition of a phone call at the beginning and quest pop-up is the icing on the cake.

Tekken 7 released in March 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It garnered some good critical praise and has sold two million copies as of October. What are your thoughts on the addition of Noctis? Let us know below.
