Final Fantasy 16’s Theme Song “Moongazing” Showcased in First Teaser

The theme song is performed by artist Kenshi Yonezu, popularly known for tracks in anime like Chainsaw Man and My Hero Academia.

In the recent State of Play for Final Fantasy 16, producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed that artist Kenshi Yonezu performed the main theme for the action RPG. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to hear it. A teaser sample for the song, titled “Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing”, was provided by the game’s official Twitter. Check it out below.

Previously working on Vocaloid music as Hachi, Yonezu debuted with his own name in 2012 and sang on tracks for popular anime, like Chainsaw Man’s Kick Back and My Hero Academia’s Peace Sign. He’s won multiple awards over the years and sold over 11 million physical and digital copies in Japan alone.

Final Fantasy 16 is out on June 22nd, exclusively for PS5. Despite the extensive presentation, there’s more to come, with details on the battle and side content, not to mention the end game, still to be revealed.
