Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Event Announced

It just happens the event is taking place on the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7.

Square Enix announced earlier this week it is going to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series with a new event. The event is named “Final Fantasy 30th anniversary Opening Ceremony” and will be taking place at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi, Tokyo.

At the moment  there aren’t a ton of details known about the event other than it will be showcasing items from the long-running series. Coincidentally, it turns out the event is going to be taking place on January 31, 2017.

January 31 happens to not only be the anniversary of the Final Fantasy series as a whole, but is also the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7. Considering that there is now a remake in the works, once has to wonder if Square Enix is going to have some big announcement about that remake at this event. Because there isn’t much info available yet, we’re just going to have to wait and see.
