Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

Square Enix’s announcement that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be coming to the PS5 wasn’t much of a surprise, but the additions they’re making to the game definitely are. The biggest of these is new playable story content, featuring Wutai ninja Yuffie, who will be accompanied by Sonon, as they embark on a mission to Midgar to steal the ultimate materia from the Shinra Electric Power Company. Now, Square Enix have shared some more new details about the same (via Gematsu).

Episode Yuffie will consist of two chapters within the game, which, all in all, seems like a pretty meaty chunk of content (even though Square Enix haven’t put an exact figure on what the playtime for it will be). Meanwhile, some gameplay details have also been shared. Yuffie, who wields a giant shuriken and can also unleash ninjutsu attacks, will be proficient in both ranged and up-close combat. Her ninja training will also allow her to do things outside of combat that other characters cannot, such as throwing her shuriken to hit levers in the distance, or smoothly traversing along latticed walls.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is out for the PS5 on June 10, and will cost $70. Those who already have the game on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 version for free, but will have to purchase the Yuffie DLC separately.
