Final Fantasy 7 Remake - Moogle Emporium

As you pick up different items throughout Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you’ll eventually receive something called a Moogle Medal. Though these can’t really be spent until you find the Moogle Emporium in the Sector 5 Slums, Moogle Medals serve as a currency for purchasing unique items.

The medals drop randomly from destroyed Shinra crates but there is a guaranteed way to receive them. When reaching Chapter 8, finish the side quest “Kids on Patrol”. Another side quest, “A Verified Hero”, will open up and allows you to partake in the Whack-a-Box mini-game. Simply participating in the mini-game will net you a Moogle Medal each time. Take part and don’t destroy any of the boxes for some easy farming.

The items that can be unlocked from the Moogle Emporium are:

  • 20. Gold Saucer
  • Ether
  • Silver Staff
  • Whistlewind Scarf
  • Salvation Badge
  • Graveyard Key
  • The Art of Swordplay Vol. 1
  • Sharpshooter’s Companion Vol. 1
  • Way of the Fist Vol. 1
  • Telluric Scriptures Vol. 1

How to Complete “Corneo’s Secret Stash”

You’ll come across a number of different doors in various dungeons which can’t be opened by traditional means. These are the locations for Don Corneo’s secret stash and can only be unlocked by using Corneo’s Secret Stash Key. To find the key, head to the Sector 5 slums train station and speak to Johnny. You’ll receive the side quest “Tomboy Bandit” – complete it and the key is yours.

Now head to the Sector 5 slums and speak to the journalist at the Center District. You’ll start the quest “Corneo’s Secret Stash”. Here are all the stash locations:

  • Steel Mountain, Sector 5 Slums – Across from the Chocobo fast travel point. Contains Prayer Materia, 3 Molotov Cocktails, 3000 Gil, 2 Maiden’s Kisses, 4 Bottles of Adrenaline, Ruby Tiara, Circlet and Moogle Medals.
  • Former Disposal Area, Sewer System – Found when heading into the Sewer System via the bedroom in Corneo’s Mansion (you need to start the main mission with Leslie). Look for the exit and press the switch next to the ladder. Retrace your steps until you find a new path that’s opened up. Contains Moogle Medals, Elixir, Enfeeblement Ring and Emerald Tiara.
  • Caved-In Tunnel on the Collapsed Expressway, Sector 6 Slums – At the main road, take a left. Battle the enemy inside to receive a Diamond Tiara and Moogle Medals.

Head back to Evergreen Park to speak to Marle (the landlady from the beginning) and give her the three Tiaras, she’ll reward you with The Art of Swordplay Vol. 3, which provides 10 AP for Cloud. This can be used for unlocking different upgrades on weapons.
