Final Fantasy 7 Remake Image Spotted on Square Enix Recruitment Page

The Air Buster boss's new appearance seems to have been leaked.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake doesn’t have a ton of information these days. We know that development has shifted from CyberConnect2 to an in-house team but that was last May. Regardless, it seems the game is progressing along as Twitter user DKHF4 spotted a new image from the game in the unlikeliest of places.

Over on Square Enix’s recruitment page, an image of Business Division 1’s Development Lead Naoko Hamaguchi can be seen. However, inspect the computer to his right and you’ll see what appears to be Cloud Strife fighting against the Air Buster boss.

How old the image is, the game’s progress and so on are still unknown. However, the page does note that “By shifting to the in-house development system in order to stabilize the mass production system last year, the development workflow has also been greatly reviewed and the development efficiency has improved.

“Although the development system and foundation have already been set up and mass production development is proceeding smoothly, from the viewpoint of incorporating, we are continuously looking for new staff aiming for further creativity.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4. Its last major trailer was seen at PlayStation Experience 2015. No release date has been provided thus far, though we know that it will have an episodic approach compared to a full game.
