For those who have managed to beat Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which is quite a few people at this point since it was available in various regions early, the ending and climax has been pretty polarizing. Some are interested, some are excited and some are very unhappy. Without getting into spoilers, it definitely sets up things in a very unexpected way for the next parts in the episodic release. Well, we have no idea when the next part will be out, but one man seems excited and wants to hear what you think.

In an interview with Famitsu magazine, Producer Yoshinori Kitase talked briefly about the ending. While he didn’t go into details (so no worries about spoilers), he thanks fans once again for buying the game, and looks to the growing future of the continued saga. He says he looks forward to seeing fan theories about how the narrative will move forward and there’s many hints about what will happen that you may have missed (thanks to DualShockers for transcribing and translating).

“The fans have been waiting for 23 years for this game, and I’m happy we’ve been finally able to deliver it to them. It’s a full-fledged game that can be enjoyed by itself, but its story is far from over. With this first game, we showed how there is great potential for the future, and we included many hints regarding what’s coming next. I’m looking forward to seeing the fans’ theories on social media regarding what could happen now. We will keep in touch with everyone so we can all make this project grow together.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available now for the PlayStation 4. You can read our review of the game through here.
