While it’s still a ways off, odds are we’ll be talking about Final Fantasy 7 Remake in some form or fashion all the way up to its release (and beyond) early next year. It’s no wonder, since the remake is one of the most anticipated games coming out, and the team behind it is taking an interesting marketing strategy by showing iconic areas in concept art form and how they developed from the page to in-game. Today we get a look at Midgar 8.

While the team behind the game hope to innovate on the original, there’s still a hunger to show a relatively faithful recreation of the original’s locations. In a fresh set of screens, we see Midgar 8, a major location early in the original title, in its concept art form and how it translates to the game itself. Eagle-eyed fans will even scout out an important locale tucked away in both screens. Check it out below.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will release exclusively on PlayStation 4 on March 3rd of 2020.
